Acne Scar Treatment
Having acne is a pain. They flare up at during the teenage years and can continue into your 30s and 40s.
Acne is a skin condition that are referred as
- whiteheads
- blackheads
- inflamed red pimples or “zits
- congested pores or “comedones”
- pustules
- cysts
Acne commonly appears on the face but may also occur anywhere in the body… on the shoulder, back, arms, legs, and even on the buttocks.
They generally respond well to treatment, but still… they can leave a scar. The scar depends on the severity of the acne condition and also on how it was treated.
The best treatment for acne scars is preventive care and minimizing the effects of acne. There are a few self-care steps to do this :
- Gently clean the skin with a mild, non-drying soap to remove dirt or make-up. Clean at least once a day
- Avoid squeezing, scratching or rubbing the affected area to prevent skin infections
- Go with the natural look. Use water-based cosmetics or creams and avoid the greasy ones. Clean it off at night
There will be time where preventive care will not work and over-the-counter acne medications will need to be used.
These medications usually come in the form of creams and lotions… and are applied directly to the skin. They usually contain benzoyl peroxide, sulfur, resorcinol, or salicylic acid. And they work by killing bacteria, drying up the oil, and causing your skin to peel.
The most effective type of acne scar treatment depends on the severity of the scars being treated. It’s best to consult a dermatologists to determine the best acne treatment for your particular situation.
In many cases, a combination of different types of procedures will likely be used to reduce acne scars.
It’s also best to wait until there is no active acne breakouts before beginning any acne scar treatment. However, follow the preventive care until then.
The most common place you can get acne is your face, but you can get acne all over your body. I think most people think of acne as a face thing. A lot can be done by cleaning your face well of dirt and oils.

Change your own shower towels every day and your bed clothing every other day. Shower at the very least every day depending on whatever you do. In the event you exercise always shower immediately after. Shampoo your own hair often particularly if you’re having acne outbreaks upon your forehead. Don’t get in bed with makeup on.

The old adage, “you are what you eat” cannot be truer than when it comes to common causes of acne. Often individuals who do not consume a healthy diet or whose diet lacks the proper amount of critical vitamins and minerals find that their acne is worse or flares up after bad food. Your body must be healthy before your skin can improve so strive to eat a well balanced diet. If you are experiencing acne problems, look first at the nutrition value of your current diet.

A pimple appears on the skin when a tiny pore on the skin is blocked by oil from the oil glands. The bacteria present in those pores initiate an immune response which eventually causes inflammation, resulting in a pimple. A pimple appears either due to hormonal imbalances, sedentary lifestyle or improper diet combined with other factors.
Most acne medications only mask the symptoms of acne and does nothing to stop the real cause of acne. This is why people buy acne products month after month (year after year). And every time they stop using the product acne would come back again and again.
Acne is a condition that occurs from within your body. Unfortunately this condition manifest itself on the exterior of your skin. Because of this you need to attach the acne from both the inside and the outside of your body.
